Mr. Grafitti has served as real estate, real estate finance and distressed real estate counsel to various real estate private equity firms, REITs, regulated financial institutions, CMBS special servicers and other institutional real estate and real estate finance organizations.
Prior to forming Grafitti Rosensteel & Hall, LLC, Mr. Grafitti was with Fennemore Craig and Ballard Spahr.
Mr. Grafitti has represented clients on numerous sizeable and institutional-grade real estate transactions, with a particular emphasis on multifamily and development projects. Mr. Grafitti’s representation in such transactions includes, reviewing, negotiating and drafting: purchase agreements; agreements with municipalities, sellers, buyers and lenders; construction, project-related infrastructure and development agreements; leases; and loan documents. Mr. Grafitti and his team also have depth in performing extensive due diligence investigations and advising on CC&Rs, easements and title and survey matters. Mr. Grafitti also has broad experience in all facets of implementing and operating condominiums, including, drafting and reviewing condominium documents.
Mr. Grafitti extensively represented two of the country’s large publicly-traded REITs in the acquisition and disposition of apartment, single-tenant net lease (including, sale-leasebacks) and multi-tenant retail projects. Mr. Grafitti has also extensively represented a private equity division of a publicly-traded real estate firm in the resolution, management, leasing and sale of distressed assets it manages in connection with a series of structured transactions with the FDIC.
